Challenge
Manufacturing high-end printing equipment involves managing a diverse inventory profile — precision components, sub-assemblies, and bulky finished goods, each with different storage, buffering, and handling requirements. High-density storage maximizes vertical space utilization for smaller components and sub-assemblies, while automated buffer-and-sort capabilities smooth out fluctuations in inventory flow and consolidate orders with minimal manual intervention. The pallet shuttle system handles heavy, bulk materials with the same automated precision, enabling Masterwork to manage its full range of inventory, from small parts to full pallets within a unified, coordinated system.
